Murals

Mural paintings take a remarkable share of the decorations and ornaments of civil and ecclesiastical architectural buildings.
The visual consistency between images, ornaments and their architectural setting has been widely underestimated in the past. As a result, several refined original dry paintings have been covered with more recent decorations and gross repainting coats.

We make careful stratigraphic analyses to reveal the original surfaces, respectful of the state of conservation of the original substrate, patterns and colours.
The technique of scialbo removal helps unveil the original decorative cycles and recover the original visual consistency of entire architectural surfaces.
