Brotherhood of Santa Maria Gambolò (PV)

The project approved by the Environmental and Architectural Monuments Department of Milan provided for the restoration of the façades and bell tower of the complex.  The plaster work of the exteriors featured inappropriate and altered colouration, as well as conspicuous degradation. Stratigraphic studies revealed that the original decoration and colours were entirely different from the current state and helped highlight different historic periods and the numerous alterations made to the original construction.
